Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikolovski, signed the Grant Agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development amounting to 350 thousand euros, intended for technical assistance in the development of the National Strategy for Electric Vehicle Charging and Infrastructure.
The National Strategy for Electric Vehicle Charging and Infrastructure, the first of its kind in North Macedonia, will enable a strategic approach to the development of road infrastructure to support the introduction of electric vehicles into the road network.
Currently, the procedure for selecting a Consultant is underway (selection is expected by the end of July or beginning of August), who will have the task of creating, in two phases:

Preparation of the Electric Vehicle Strategy;

An Action Plan with priority activities and deadlines to be approved by the Government through the Ministry of Transport and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
In addition to the Consultant, domestic and international experts in the fields of electric vehicles, energy efficiency, transport, and ecology will be involved in the preparation of the Strategy and the Action Plan.
